About This Class

Are you passionate about jewellery making and eager to elevate your skills to the next level? You need to an experienced jeweller or have an advanced skill level in jewellery making for this intensive two-day course. Take your jewellery setting skills to new heights under the expert guidance of renowned Master Goldsmith, Peter Keep, you'll delve into the principles and techniques of grain and pave setting. With over 50 years of experience as a Designer Goldsmith, Manufacturing Jeweller, and celebrated Trade Tutor, Peter has crafted a comprehensive program that promises excellent learning outcomes for jewellers, apprentices, and students alike. We are excited to host Peter again. He has wonderful personality and makes the class so enjoyable. Throughout the course, you'll be introduced to the best practices in metal thickness ratios, spacing, tips & tricks, and the necessary tools for effective setting. You'll also learn how to clean up after setting, ensuring your pieces are polished to perfection. As part of the course fee, you'll receive a setting pack, including practice blanks and CZs to work with during the sessions, however an additional setting tool list will be sent to you prior to the start of class. Peter will also have extra setting packs and his patented pliers available for purchase, if you wish to keep practising your newly acquired skills. This Elevate Event is an excellent opportunity to learn advanced skills at the bench, with full tuition and guidance from Peter. It's perfect for jewellery makers at an experienced or advanced skill level who are looking to refine their techniques and achieve greater precision in their work. Join us for two days of immersive learning with Peter, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm each day. Please note: Within your booking is a compulsory half hour break included, so please bring something to munch. Tea & coffee provided. Please be respectful and arrive 15 minutes before class starts at 9.30am, each day. This program is jam packed with content that we want you to get the most benefit from we must start the class on time.
