Service Description
Discover the art of crafting your very own hand made ring in our fun and interactive class. How long is the class? Your session runs for 3 hours and you'll be walking out with a beautiful ring that you've created yourself. Who are these classes for? This is a great introduction for beginners and enthusiasts alike. This class is the perfect opportunity for couples to make wedding bands or anniversary rings, or to create a new ring just because. What will I learn? From start to finish you will be guided through each step so that you feel supported whilst working with your precious metal. You can choose to finish your ring to a fine or textured polish. It is a quick introduction to working in Gold or Platinum. Please note: 1. Platinum ring makers will only observe the soldering process with safety glasses provided. 2. Platinum rings are not able to be textured. What does my class fee include? Precious metals are quoted as their cost fluctuates with the global commodity market. We will prepare and offer our quote for approval. The quote includes expert tuition, use of tools, bench space, all precious metals and materials required to make your ring. When quoting we need at least 7 days before the start of your class to fabricate your metal. Gold ring options. Our "Designer" ring is 9CT yellow Gold, in a half round profile 3.5mm x 1.5mm. In using this profile we estimate the following costs, (subject to change): Fee Finger Sizes $1180 G-K $1317 L-N $1473 O-T $1592 U-Z $1865 Z1-Z6, ( Z7+ we are happy to quote your finger size) Precious metal options. We can supply other ring profiles and precious metals of 14CT, 18CT & Platinum. Don't know your finger size? Pop into our New Lynn workshop & lets measure your finger. A firm quote cannot be made until we have your correct finger size. What do I need to bring or wear? Wear closed-toe shoes — sneakers are perfect Please tie up long hair Bring your glasses if you need them for close-up work What if I have precious metals that I want to use? If you wish to recycle & fabricate your own gold please reach-out and lets discuss your options. This workshop is held in our New Lynn, Auckland studio and is suitable for complete beginners. Booking Policy
In our Workshop closed toe shoes must be worn; sneakers do the job nicely! Please have any long hair tied up. Bring your eyeglasses if you need to see up close. All participants must be at least 14 years old. Please arrive 5 minutes before your class start time. If you are more than 10 minutes late you forfeit your booking. There is no parking on site. Parking spaces are well signposted on the surrounding streets. As an alternative use public transport, as the New Lynn Bus & Train Station is a short walk away.
