e-Gift Card how to guide

We know that sometimes it can be difficult to create and purchase our e-Gift Cards. Conversely its sometimes unclear on what to do when you want to redeem your gift card or voucher.

In this guide we will cover our website generated e-gift cards, and our "good old fashioned" paper gift vouchers, and how to redeem both sorts so that you can come and enjoy the workshop.

How to create or redeem an e-Gift Card

On our website is a dedicated e-Gift Card page. It can be found in the menu at the top of our wonderful new website.

Choose Your preferred amount

You can choose a pre-set amount or enter another amount that you want to spend. There is a spending limit on the value of our gift cards of which the system will alert you, if that has occurred.

Top tip 1:  Once the gift card amount is determined and purchased, a top-up amount or additional funds can not be added to this gift card.

Enter the details of the person you want to receive the gift card

Enter the name and contact details for the person you want to receive the gift card. You can also add your personal message at this time. You can select which date you would like your gift card to be sent on.

Don't know their email address? Use your address.

You can also buy a gift card for yourself if you wanted!

Top tip 2: If you don't trust the system, we've got your back!

You can send the gift voucher to yourself, print it to give to your recipient. You will need to forward our confirmation email to share the code needed to redeem the gift card.

Once you've decided on the details

You can complete your purchase by proceeding to checkout and pay for the gift card using your preferred payment method.

You can't use another gift card or coupon to complete your purchase.

Gift Card delivery

The recipient will receive our email with their gift card details, the unique code and the amount that can be redeemed. This email will be sent on the date you selected.

Top tip 3: If your recipient has not received their gift card, ask them to check their email accounts' Other, Bin and Spam folders.

Still not there, check the email address you entered. If the email address is incorrect or still not sure what's what get in touch and we will check the activity status from our side.

Top Tip 4: The law in Aotearoa New Zealand is due to change in 2026, so we have adopted the change already. Our gift vouchers do not expire.

To redeem your e-Gift Card

If you have received a gift card you can book or shop across our new website adding to your cart until your are ready to go to the checkout.

At Checkout, select “Redeem a gift card” to enter the code supplied on the original confirmation email. The best way to survive the long alpha-numeric combination is to copy from the email, and paste it into the redeem a gift card box.

Top Tip 5: Please do not put your gift card code in the promotional code box, it causes the system to become confused, and we know this is easily done, sorry :-)

If your purchase exceeds the gift card value, the remaining balance can be paid at the checkout with other payment methods.

Any unused balance remains available for future purchases. Unfortunately, once entirely spent our eGift Cards are not reloadable.

How to create or redeem a "good old fashioned" paper Gift Voucher

We do have good old fashioned paper gift vouchers that can be ordered, paid and collected from the workshop. They make a great gift.

To purchase a paper gift voucher

You can pop into the workshop and we can prepare a gift voucher whilst you wait. Alternatively you can email us and we will prepare them in advance ready for you to purchase and collect.

To redeem your paper gift voucher

Pop online to view our services, and find a date that fits your schedule.

Let us know by email, your name and voucher number so that we can can take care of the booking process for you by creating your booking from our side and send you email confirmation.

On the day of your class please bring the voucher with you.

If your class or course exceeds your paper gift voucher value, the remaining balance can be paid at the workshop by eftpos or direct banking.

Unfortunately once spent our paper gift vouchers are not reloadable.
