Designing jewellery using recycled gold offers a level of creative freedom that mass-produced pieces simply can’t match.  When you reuse existing jewellery, whether it’s inherited, unloved, or broken, the design process begins with meaning, allowing you to create something that truly reflects your style and story.

Being clear on what carries the emotional weight helps guide us in what we need to do.

  •  Preserve what matters

  •  Reshape what no longer serves you

  •  Reimagine your jewellery into something you’ll love wearing

Creative freedom in jewellery design means you’re working with materials that already hold meaning, gold you’ve worn, stones that carry history, or pieces that have been passed down. Your precious metal, as well as any gemstones that can be reused, and other heirloom components can all go towards a new design that truly reflects your style and story.  Recycling allows your jewellery to evolve with you, bringing it back into everyday wear in a way that feels natural and personal.

The best place to start is at the beginning with remodelling heirloom jewellery.

Each project begins with a design consultation to establish your requirements, aesthetic preferences, budget considerations, and material options.  Before altering anything, we need to evaluate what your heirloom jewels are.  Some pieces hold historical or collector value that can’t be recovered once changed. Understanding the provenance is part of honouring the story.  Many of our remodelling and custom design projects typically fall between $1500 and $6000, depending on the scope, materials, and complexity of the design. proportions, wearability, setting style, and stone security

Proportions, wearability, and structure are considered from the outset, resulting in a piece that feels personal, balanced, and made to last. Reducing, reusing, and recycling doesn’t restrict creativity — it expands it, allowing jewellery to become an extension of yourself and an expression of your individuality.

Things to consider when you remodel old family jewellery into a modern design:

  • Not all materials can be reused exactly as-is

  • Sentimental pieces can be combined into one design

  • You don’t need to know exactly what you want, we advise and guide you

  • Sustainability in recycling, reusing remodelling is a good thing, for many reasons.

Heirloom jewellery doesn’t need to be locked away to be respected. Sometimes, allowing a piece to change is exactly what keeps its story alive. If you have jewellery you’d like to reimagine, we’d love to work with you to create something meaningful, wearable, and uniquely yours.
